Glad I got mine for $399 on the Black Friday sale of Amazon. Good headphones, more clearer than the hd6xx although in some recordings the highs can be a bit too much emphasized. But overall the highs are better defined and present on the 660s2 compared to the hd6xx. Overall I enjoy the 660sv2 more.
Today these cans are $467.00 at Amazon. Why are you so much higher? Its apples to apples and you are much higher, especially with the free shipping and other Amazon extras that you do not have. And I really don't care about the points. I have bought many things in the past, but will no longer consider your products. I consider your policies deceptive and dishonest. BUYERS BEWARE!
So Drop edits / removes the link that shows Amazon has same item, 1 day free shipping, and easier returns. Whatever Drop's policy (and the noted "Edited by moderator Jyri_Drop ?) to change the content. I've purchased many items from Drop but have concluded 1) they are rarely a deal, 2) their shipping costs are higher than any online retailer I've used, 3) their return policy is a MASSIVE HASSLE, 4) their rewards are generally not worth using. The one exception was when I purchased $700 Focal headphones (that later they Dropped the price to $500 but would not refund me the difference). I simply hope that shoppers are not deceived by Drop's euphemistic (deceptive?) offers/pricing. Hopefully, the consumer is careful and knows that they can almost always find the same item cheaper, faster, and with easier return processes. BUYER BEWARE and tell your friends.
I own many headphones from Sennheiser, Focal, Hifiman. Some of them are quite more expensive (Focal Clear MG, Sennheiser HD800S…). I don’t know if buying from Drop is the best deal around, sometimes it is, often it is not. I bought a few units on Drop including HD6XX, HD58X, O2 SDAC amp. I also own many others including HD600, HD598, HD25, ATH-M50X, Momentum 3, Momentum 4, Focal Bathys, PXC550II, Amperior, and more.
I am simply going to affirm one thing: If I was forced to keep only one headphone, only one, then this would be it: the Sennheiser HD660S2. I’m not suggesting this is the best headphone, I’m saying it’s one of the few I could live with as the sole headphone I could keep. It sounds good with any music genre. It is compatible with most setups. Yes it needs a dedicated amp. No it is not the best headphone for travelling or for noise isolation, but I could live with this just one headphone and enjoy music. Regards.
If I was allowed a second pair for outside/travelling Bluetooth use, then I would choose either the Sennheiser Momentum 4 (or the Focal Bathys, depending on budget available). Regards,
The HD58X is a very good headphone considering its price. Compared to the HD6XX, it has more sub bass but is quite colder in the mids (HD58X have clearer but more nasal mids, not that magical mid timbre that HD6XX and HD650 are famous for) and has less high frequency (treble) energy. Compared to HD660S2, the HD58X is a less exciting headphone. HD660S2 has better sub bass, better bass, far better mids and more airy and exciting highs. But the HD660S2 is more than three times more expensive than the HD58X. I do not know any other open back headphone in the 150$ range that sounds better than the HD58X. I personally bought three pairs of HD58X: one that I use with portable equipment (its 150 ohms and great sensitivity makes it useable with iPhones, IPads, laptop computers and other devices without a dedicated headphone amp), one that I have bought as a present to my father in law (at 80 years old he just loves the HD58X, they sound clear and he can wear them for long periods without ear fatigue) and one pair for my teen boy (unfortunately he now prefers my Momentum 4 Bluetooth headphones and he borrows my pair as much as he can, may I blame him?). So bottom line the HD58X is a very good headphone available at a steal price (150$) and I do recommend it strongly. It has more sub bass than HD600 or HD6XX/650. But it doesn’t sound as good as either HD600, HD650/6XX or HD660S2 in my opinion. All of these are far more expensive however. There you have it, my honest opinion regarding the HD58X.
PeteMtlDear sir, Namaste
I have sennheiser momentum 4 headphones. Sir in HD 660s2 and momentum 4, what is the difference in the sound of these two. In HD 660 s2 can we listen to songs using on mobiles??? So should I buy HD 660 s2 headphone ? Or momentum 4 headphone are fine for me.. Sir What is your opinion..... Plz reply....
LOVE FROM INDIA....
And yet again... Amazon has the same item, same price, free shipping and far easier returns if you need. Get your Sennheiser HD 660 S2 Headphones faster and with free shipping. To think that Drop customers don't shop around is a misstep for Drop. And Drop's shipping costs are significant comparted to many online purchases.

DrEasAlso 5% cash back with the Amazon credit card, which is an extra $25 in my pocket. Plus Amazon is currently (at time of post) giving 90 days free Amazon Music Unlimited with purchase to new subscribers, which is another $27 in value.
Update: Prime Day had this on sale for $380.
No. I was not posting my thouhgt on only hatred on Drop. Visiting Drop is my daily routine because I love Drop. But recently I see some higher price than Amazon. This does not show "hate" on Drop. It is my hope to mortivate Drop to be more competitive than iother competitors. Even Shenzen, linsoul, hifigo are more attractive somehow. I just want Drop to be Drop as the same of old massdrop.
